acidic ice

For about the past week we have been copping some really heavy frosts, and a lot of plants have been turning brown (we hope they're not dying). We found this piece of ice on the surface of the chook's water container.

Once I saw how the photo turned out I named it acidic ice, because it appears the ice is eating into the wood. Your imagination could probably think up a lot of other things that it looks like either :)

This photo was taken on Saturday 21st July 2007 at 8:26:18 AM, with an exposure time of 1/400 of a second and a f-number of 2.9.
